Black walnut tincture is a liquid extract made from green hulls of black walnut. The hulls of the black walnut contain a high concentration of tannins. Tannins have antibacterial effects against listeria, salmonella, and E.coli. They also have an astringent effect, which is used to tighten the epidermis, mucous membranes, and relieve irritations. This makes it very useful for treating skin conditions like warts, eczema, acne, psoriasis, xerosis, tinea, pedis, poison ivy and in reducing pain, swelling and drying up body fluids such as mucous.

Black walnut has been historically used to get rid of fevers and treat kidney ailments, gastrointestinal concerns, ulcers, cancers, toothaches, snake bites, fungus and so much more. The most common and popular use of the black walnut is of course, its antiparasitic properties. It contains Juglone., therefore making it effective against ringworm, tapeworm, pin or thread worm, and other parasites of the intestines.

Black walnuts are naturally rich in iodine. The tincture can be used as a supplement for iodine deficiency. Iodine is also very effective in preventing radiation poisoning.

Our black walnuts are harvested in mid-end of fall when they are ripe. They are then infused in alcohol for a time period of 2 months to maximize the extraction of its amazing properties. After this they are drained and poured into jars and packaged in small batches to ensure quality.
